18th Annual Union Street
Fantasy of Lights
“Fantasy of Lights” is the month long celebration of events and programs happening this season on Union Street between Van Ness & Steiner and adjoining Fillmore Street from Union to Lombard. HOLIDAY CELEBRATION SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6th, 3:00 PM TO 6:00 PM Come and enjoy street Entertainment including jugglers, face painters, Santa's reindeer, meet the Snow Queen, kids activities, carolers, and much more! Santa arrives at 5:00 PM at the Cudworth Mansion, 2040 Union Street. Kids can visit with Santa and have their picture taken for free until 7:00 PM. Donate Toys for Needy Children Through the SF Firefighters Toy Program. Collection barrels will be onsite that night & remain at specific locations on Union Street throughout the holiday season for donations of new toys. The event is followed by Merchant Open House/Evening Shopping. NO PARADE. GIANT ELF DOLLARS Santa and his elves will be passing out Union Street “Elf Dollars” that you can spend in participating stores on Union Street getting great holiday deals! They will also be passing out candy canes to Children. Saturdays and Sundays, November 28 through December 21, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Don’t miss out! |

UNION STREET FANTASY OF LIGHTS SPECTACULAR All month long shops, restaurants and offices will be adding tiny white lights to their buildings and trees, setting the stage for a magical event. WINDOW DECORATIONS Merchants will show their creativity by decorating store windows with unique holiday themes. We will be conducting a best window contest and a best building lighting contest. MERCHANT OPEN HOUSE/EVENING SHOPPING Participating merchants on Union Street and adjacent Fillmore Street will have special evening shopping hours and merchant open houses with entertainment and refreshments. FREE CUSTOMER PARKING Participating merchants are offering validated parking for customers with a minimum purchase. Parking facilities are located at 2001 Union Plaza Garage, 1910 Union Street Garage (Wells Fargo) and the Lombard Street Garage (enter on Moulton Alley at Webster). Subject to availability. FREE GIFT WRAPPING Free gift wrapping will be available at Past Perfect, 2224 Union Street, on Saturday & Sunday, December 13 & 14 and again on Saturday & Sunday, December 20 & 21 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM for any item purchased that day on Union/Fillmore and adjacent Cow Hollow. All donations will benefit Presidio Community YMCA. |
